I’m a parent, queer person, and a clinical social worker currently working as a therapist based out of Northeast Minneapolis, with telehealth options and both daytime (Wednesday & Thursday) and evening (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and sometimes Monday) availability. I work with strong systems lens and anti-oppressive politics.  I believe in the power of interpersonal relationships to make widespread change.

After an educational journey through an English BA, nonprofit world, and the construction industry, I had the opportunity to reassess my life during the pandemic. I chose to pursue clinical social work, and began a part-time 4 year Master’s of Social Work program in 2021, and complemented that with a certificate of Holistic Health Studies. I am drawn to social work because of my brain for systems thinking and my aspirational drive for social justice and care. My biggest takeaway from holistic health studies is an appreciation for many different types of knowing and conceptions of health and wellbeing.

Therapy together looks like a first 2 sessions where I really get to know you, and if you are using insurance I have to diagnose you with something in the DSM. We talk about goals and what you hope to get from your time in therapy. A lot of my clients come to future sessions with particular topics they want to debrief, gain clarity on, and talk through how current stressors are impacting their mental health. Some are interested in exploring how their childhood has shaped who they are today.

I hold everyone who comes into a session with me with a deep and abiding love, and the belief that we are all doing our best with the tools and information we have. Having someone who is in your corner and who you can build a strong therapeutic relationship can help you get closer to living the life that you want to live.
